WWE Cyber Sunday 2008 review

Its the last Cyber Sunday where the fans decide matches on the rig (excluding when they do it on RAW) The spotlight's on CM Punk even though he didn't even get to wrestle which adds to the legitimacy of the show. Anyway it starts off with a great patrioticish message from Triple H, Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy. Rey Mysterio vs Kane started off the night. Todd Grisham brings in the votes and we have a no holds barred match. Man Rey Mysterio's black and white mask is great looking. Anyway this match had a bunch of cool moments. There was a bit when Kane tosses Rey Mysterio as he slides into the ring post and then hits a sliding dropkick shoving Rey more-so into the post. Kane tries to bring in a Steel Chair and Rey dropkicks him in the face. Finally, Rey headscissor takesdown Kane as a counter to the chokeslam and while Kane is on the rope he hit the 619. Then following a springboard Splash for the win.
We later learn that the Divas are going to be dressing up for the Divas Halloween costume contest. Candice Michelle is dressed as Marilyn Monroe, Kelly Kelly drops a cool pick up line, Mickie James helps the whole contest with the Tomb Raider costume. Anyway, the Divas come to the ring and after Mickie James gets the win, Victoria, dressed as a bananna, ambushes her. In the end, the heels are thrown out and the faces pose for cameras. Tazz announced the winner based on the votes.
Theodore Long comes down with Tiffany as ECW general manager to announce who will the ECW Champion, Matt Hardy, face. Mark Henry? Evan Bourne? Finlay? Evan Bourne wins with a 69% landslide and comes down to the old "Axeman" song by Damian Wes, Lenny Charles and Sparky Buddha. Anyway Matt Striker is calling the match and "Airborne" Evan Bourne looks ready for the match. Evan bourne really outperformed himself starting off with a picture perfect dropkick. Roundhouse kicks. headscissor takedowns, standing moonsaults and frankensteiners kept the match high pace but Hardy hits a forearm smash into a springboarding Bourne and sends him to the floor. The ending was a great sequence of a missed shooting star press and then Hardy tries for a front facelock but Bourne takes it into a backslide but Hardy finally hits a Twist of Fate for the win. An absolutely fantastic match. ****/5.

Cryme Tyme vs Miz/Morrison happened next. Early on JTG hits the shoutout on The Miz but Morrison hits the Moonlight Drive after a while of dragging out for the win. I still liked Cryme Tyme to win. Chris Jericho is running around backstage for help but even Ranjin Singh and The Great Khali won't help him. The belt couple Santino and Beth come down the ring as the WWE Intercontinental Champion and WWE Women's Champion come down to the ring. I was thinking Goldust would win but between him and Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Honkey Tonk Man is chosen. It came down to Santino Marella (c) vs. The Honkey Tonk Man. But early on the smile goes our face when Phoenix trips Honkey Tonk Man and causing a DQ. Then the Hall of Famer Roddy Piper and Goldust come down to help Honkey Tonk Man who finishes Marella off with a Shake, Ratter and Roll.
Big Show vs The Undertaker promo featured Matt Jackson from The Young Bucks getting Chokeslammed through a table. Anyway Chavo Guerrero and Vickie Guerrero come down to see the stipulation for the match and my favorite of the three, the last man standing match wins. There's a moment when Jim Ross gets the stipulation wrong but Tazz quickly corrects him. There was a couple of holy crap! moments there such as Big Show chokeslamming him from the security wall through the ECW announcers table. In the end Undertaker choked out Show with The Hell's Gate submission. The ten count insures that Taker wins.
Maybe an epic entrance, WWE Champion Triple H comes down the ramp. Woo! Jeff Hardy is chosen by the crowd over Kozlov rocking "No more Words" by EndeverafteR. Whoa there was a nice double leg drop destroying Triple H's midsection and follows up with an inverted suplex slam. Later, Hardy brings in a steel chair to do a one man poetry in motion. But after getting dominated by Triple H for a couple of minutes he hits two Whisper in the winds to even up the odds. Jeff doesn't let him roll off though, he hits the Hardyac Arrest on Triple H in the corner. After a Twist of Fate Triple H still kicks out. Hardy hits one Swanton Bomb but then goes for a second one but gets stopped by H's knees. After a bunch of mule kicks by Hardy and while Triple H is out of the ring he hits a plancha. In the end Triple H pulls off Hardy off the top rope and hits the Pedigree for the win. They put on the match of the night.
It's time for the World Heavyweight championship match Jericho vs. Batista with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the referee. Batista tries to hit Jericho with a running shoulder block but he ducks out of the way and Steve Austin gets hit,Shawn comes down and gives a rad slow count after Chris hits the Codebreaker on Batista but he kicks out with the slow count. Explaining the joy of when Batista hit Jericho with a spear and Michaels went for the fast count but JBL pulling him out and hitting him with the Clothesline From Hell. Orton comes out and attacks Austin. Orton unsees Jericho hitting Batista with the World Heavyweight Championship belt but Batista then proceeded to kick out. Austin hits a motivated Stone Cold Stunner taking his referee job back. Batista hits the Batista Bomb for the unfair win and we have a new champion.

Injustice: Gods Among Us (iOS) review

Man, the moment I saw this on the app store (before having a console) I marked out big time and immediately downloaded it on my phone. It was free and I have played all the way through it. I realized if you have the patience it takes to grind a bit you can get through the whole game without micro transactions. It is a basic fighting game with tag team elements. I've played nothing like this on the iPhone unless it was paid for. Collecting cards of DC characters has never been more fun and NetherRealm Studios have realized their fanbase on the mobile apps because they have added a mobile exclusive character, Darkseid. My own favorite is Wonder Woman (Regime) and after a while of coming back it has changed a bit with more levels and a gear system.

Lex Luthor's quote that appears at the beginning of the game

Regime Superman lives a life of wreaking havoc

My collection of Wonder Women

I got Joker by logging in daily and getting alliance points

Here he is, the mobile exclusive character, Darkseid

Bane (Luchador), was obtained by completing a challenge

Deathstroke is my favorite Silver character

Here, Solomon Grundy (Regime) is maxed elite

These are some of my best characters

Lobo is the beast!

GET OVER HERE!!!!

Deathstroke hitting his third attack

Grundy hits his third attack on Harley Quinn (Insurgency)

Peggy Sue Got Married (1986)

Movie's Poster
While trying to get a divorce from her high school sweet heart Charlie Bodell (Nicholas Cage), Peggy Sue (Kathleen Turner) attends her high school reunion with her daughter and meets old friends from the high school. Among these friends Richard Norvik (Bary Miller) is the most successful having written multiple books. But when she and Richard are chosen as the king and the queen of the reunion she passes out and wakes up in her high school in the 60's. Having the experiences she has had as an adult she tries to make her life better by doing better things for her friends and herself.

An ensemble cast of Jim Carrey, Nicholas Cage and Kathleen Turner
The reason for watching or even stumbling onto this movie is the involvement of Nicholas Cage (Kick-Ass) and Jim Carrey (The Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind). There are parts in this movie which are worst for me since I don't get it but mostly it is a great story about reevaluation and rethinking your choices in love and life. The movie might start a little slow with some downtime but it picks up real fast and starts becoming an awesome romantic story. By the way did I mention Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather Part II) directed this awesome movie? 8/10
