The Amazing Brick (iOS) review

Amazing brick? More like frustration index meter on flick! (That's a Steve Here And Larson refrence, if you're a friendo, you will probably get it). Back to the game at hand. The Amazing Brick was developed by the same dude lè bros who seem to be the best at frustrating people but keeping it addictive (like the great Dong Nguyen), a.k.a. Ketchapp. They later went on to make other games but I stuck with this one. Mainly because it has non linear boundaries to it such as the ability to bounce back up and not fall while climbing upwards like a vertical Flappy Bird but way more fun than Swing Copters. Anyway overall it's a swell game to play for a while and then get back to other awesome games. The highest medal on this game is cyan colored which can be achieved by scoring 40 hops, points or whatever's or more. Overall I give it 3.5 stars because it wasn't that amazing but still fun. The .5 is there, of coarse for the creativity of letting us bounce back like cougars.

Extreme Rules (2015) review

Event poster featuring John Cena

How WWE did it, I don't know but this Pay Per View pushed me off the edge and I bought a Seth Rollins shirt. From here and on there are going to be spoilers. The show started with a changed card, Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett switched to Neville vs. Wade Barrett. Daniel Bryan took a gritty injury on SmackDown and needs time off so I wan't phased too much.  I mean everytime Bryan wrestles I'm nervous. Anyway the match starts with JBL making Bag Full of Bull Hammers a thing and making me anxious to see a Bull Hammer elbow. The Wasteland and both the Winds of Change couldn't put Neville out. The match goes on for a while until Neville delivers a fantastic dead lift german suplex. But Barrett is later kicked in the head by Neville and then drops. Finally Neville hits a Red Arrow for the win.
5 time Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett goes for the Wasteland
Next we have an incredible Chicago Street Fight with Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose. The match is one of the wildest matches I've seen in 2015. In the middle of the match Harper tries to drive out taking a page out of Grand Theft Auto playbook with Ambrose and the match keeps going on until they get back in the ring two matches later chairs are thrown in the ring. Harper and Ambrose get in and Harper gets superplexed onto the pile of chairs. Later Harper turns it all around with a running sitout powerbomb onto the chairs. But in the end Ambrose hit the Dirty Deeds on Harper and finally wins. A fantastic match, I was rooting Harper but this match was booked well a ***** from me.
Brodie Bomb by Luke Harper
A stupid stipulation but a half good match was next with the Kiss Me Arse match with Ziggler vs. Sheamus. The match goes on well until Sheamus lifts Ziggler for a slam but Ziggler goes for an inside cradle and got a roll up victory. Now it's time for Sheamus to kiss Sheamus' arse. Sheamus stalls and did what I called from the moment my guy Dolph won. Sheamus hits him with a low blow and hits the brogue kick and then rubs Ziggler's face into his ass cheecks. It was an okay match and I gotta mention that Sheamus' entrance was epic.
Dolph hits a Jumping Dropkick
Cesaro & Tyson Kidd (with Natalya) (c) vs. The New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston) (with Xavier Woods) for the WWE Tag Team Championships
I went into this match to root for Cesaro and Tyson Kidd because New Day's gimmick is very stupid. Cesaro was great and Tyson Kidd always puts on a clinic while Big E and Kofi Kingston buzzkilled every cool moment. Xavier Woods was pretty annoying and thank goodness Natalya shut him up with a slap. Then Kidd hit him straight in the face and Cesaro threw Big E out. But this opens up the window for Kingston to pull a roll up while holding the  tights. Great match, horrible ending.
Tyson had Kofi in a Sharpshooter
Then there was Cena (c) vs. Rusev for the WWE United States Championship. The allied forces of Lana (only half way through the match when she gets on the ring apron for no reason) and Rusev take Cena on for the United States Championship in a Russian Chain Match. The Lana part aside this was a descent match with Cena doing the AA a couple of times and Rusev putting Cena in the accolade and then hits him on two corners which later had Cena and Rusev hitting three corners but Cena finally hit the Attitude Adjustment to hit the last corner to win.
Rusev puts Cena in The Accolade
Live tweeting this I forgot that Paige was out and Naomi was facing Nikki Bella. I liked Naomi to win though, while Brie Bella cost her the belt with a roundhouse kick. This match was only half good because the match was too short. Anyway Naomi got beaten with the Rack Attack that helped Nikki keep her Divas Championship.
Naomi  hit the Full Nelson Bomb on Nikki Bella
I gotta say this Roman Reigns is growing on me. Lost in the cheers of the WWE fans Big Show makes his way to the ring for this last man standing match. I let you guys know that Big Show is my favorite guy in Last Man Standing matches ever since the match with Shane McMahon. Anyway the match was a balls out war. Judging by the amount of tables used in this match I am immediately giving it the award of excellence. Anyway Roman Reigns buried Big Show under a table and stood on it for the 10 count to beat the Big Show. My favorite moment was the chokeslam from the ring unto two tables. This was a great match and I would give it *****.

Then came the cream of the crop. The WWE world Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins fought Randy Orton in a Steel Cage with the RKO banned. Kane was the gate keeper. The match was well done but could have been better with Rollins taking a punt kick. This was my opinion before I saw Orton doing the god damn Pedigree on Seth Rollins and Kane chokeslamming everybody and then Rollins beat Orton using the RKO!!!!! Amazing match with a fantastic ending. Overall this pay per view was a solid 7.8 out of 10.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

The Poster

Oh my God, more Lord of The Rings nostalgia!!!! Well it's not really nostalgia because it was only a decade ago. Anyway, This was my first time experiencing what everyone experienced when the Lord of The Rings movies came out a year apart from one another. I hadn't seen a movie in this day and age that ends on a cliffhanger which completely made me want to see the next movie. Let's get to it now.
Here's a larger poster for no good reason

I went to Desolation of Smaug not having seen Unexpected Journey (I'll try to see it someday) and not having read the book. Although I had heard of the comparisons to Lord of The Rings in how it was just a cash grab. But let me set my rule here, I will support a cash grab movie as long as its good. Cash grab or not, the movie starts where presumably the first one left off. Dwarfs led by their current king Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) are starting to fully trust Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) while Gandalf (Ian McKellen) is off finding the evil shadow that lurks within Middle Earth. In this search for the lonely mountain where Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch) lives and the Arkenstone is hidden will the Dwarfs Thorin and the wise one Balin (Ken Scott) and Bilbo finally get to the mountain alive?
Stephen Fry was the Master of Laketown? WHAT?

Now, I particularly enjoyed this movie. Everlasting hatred of cash grabs isn't my thing (I like Transformers for God's sake). For the most part I say what I feel on this blog and not what critics say to look smart. Good movies aren't necessarily great and awesome movies, hence why this was a good action adventure movie which took us back to Middle Earth. However it did feel a little filleted up so it can't get a full 10 from me. I also haven't read the book so this is solely based on watching the movie. Peter Jackson (The Lord of The rings Trilogy) knocks it out of the park again with a movie which is nowhere near the original trilogy but still a good film. The actors mostly seem into it, except maybe Legolas (Orlando Bloom) who seemed a little "I'm here for my paycheck thank you". Overall I give this movie an 8 out of 10.
Can't wait to review this one

Penguins of Madagascar (2014) review

Movie Poster

Magnificent family film with humor to be enjoyed by all, 5 stars! Now that's the short side of things continue reading for the full review. Well against all my dedication to not see this movie because Conrad Vernon had replaced my favorite voice actor of all time, John DiMaggio, I said I'll give it a chance. Besides it was family night and it was my little brother's choice anyway. So it starts off showing the origins of the Penguins with great jokes and gags, (they had Werner Herzog voicing a documentary filmmaker who tells his crew guy to push the baby penguins off the cliff to add tension to his documentary, if that isn't enough to get you hooked keep reading). Anyway, the current events story keeps rolling after the Penguins are shown escaping the circus from Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. Its Private (voiced by Christopher Knights) 's birthday and Skipper (voiced by Tom McGrath) and the gang are going to break into Fort Knox. But they're not going in for gold, no, no, no, but something just or more valuable than that. CHEEZY DIBBLES!!!! Anywho while they're casualy paying for their cheezy dibbles an octopus takes them inside. They're transported to an evil lair where an evil scientist who turns out to be an octopus himself imprisons them to share his story. His name was Debby, Dietrich...no wait it was Dave(voiced by John Malkovich, yes John flipping Malkovich!), Dave was just a regular animal at the New York zoo until the penguins showed up and their surge in popularity made Dave an unwanted attraction. But no matter how many times they moved him the penguins would always show up and steal the show. Dave knew why the Penguins were so popular and now he wants revenge. The penguins aren't remembering anything so they just bust out of the lair which turns out to be a submarine and take Dave's method of revenge, the "Medusa" serum, with them. While trying to escape the octupi in  Venice, Italy they get saved by a group of highly trained animal agents known as the North Wind. The operation is spear-headed by Classified (voiced by Sherlock himself, Benedict Cumberbatch) and consists of a demolition seal known as Short Fuse (voiced by Ken "Hungover" Jeong) , an espionage master owl called Eva (voiced by Annet Mahendru) who Kowalski (voiced by Chris Miller) can't stop crushing on and finally Corporal (voiced by Peter Stormare) a muscular Polar Bear who thinks the penguins are the cutest things in the world. Although they have a common enemy the Noth Wind is too technologically advanced to even think they can take the penguins along for the mission. Skipper however wants Dave stopped, sounds like internal problems might get the better of the groups before they even get to face Daniel, Dorry...oh wait, Dave.
Dave is voiced by John Malkovich
P.S. The directors are Simon J. Smith (Bee Movie) and Eric Darnell (Madagascar) so you know its good.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

Well, we went to the theaters for the Iranian new year on Saturday and me and my little brother went tothe movie that is quickly becoming a family favorite, Sponge out of water. The story follows a pirate played by Antonio Banderas and his quest to find the book that with alterations could alter life itself. Sponge Bob and Patrick are going through a regular day until Plankton strikes again. But as he tries to run away with the formula,  he gets caught up with SpongeBob and while they both struggle to take it, it suddenly disappeared. When Mr. Krabs finds the two he decides to torture Plankton to find out where the formula is. But SpongeBob knows he's innocent so he tries to bail Plankton out. In midst of all these chaos they have ran out of Krabby Patties and the end becomes nigh. Now it's up to the unlikely duo of SpongeBob and Plamkton to save the day.
I fairly enjoyed this flick.
